Principal’s News:

I have just received confirmation of initial approval for building 4 new classrooms as part of the Commonwealth stimulus package Building the Education Revolution. This will be at a cost of $2 Million. These classrooms will replace existing temporary buildings and will have wet areas and computer withdrawal areas. We are also getting quotes to have the rest of the school painted.

Teachers have been working hard on student assessments and writing mid year reports. The report will be sent home on Monday 6th July.

We have just ordered 12 new computers to ensure that every classroom has effective access to technology. This is part of an extensive plan to integrate technology within all classes.

I was fortunate to see our debating team of Anushka, Vivien, Rahaul and Daniel(team advisor) present a strong case that “Australia needs a new flag” against Putney Public. The adjudicator was most impressed with the team’s rebuttals awarding the debate to West Ryde. Well done!
