Principal’s News:
Term 3 will be a very
busy term with preparation for our spectacular performance of ‘Blue Ribbon
Belle’ on Wednesday afternoon 16th September. Following the same
theme there will be an Aussie style bush dance for all students and their
families 2 weeks later on Wednesday evening 30th September. The school athletics
carnival last Thursday ran very smoothly with good weather, good student
participation and good
parent support. I told the students the next day how proud I was that they
tried their best even if they didn’t win and that students were very well
behaved. These factors make they day enjoyable for all. A particular thank
you to Olivia Phoon, Therese Duggan, Milan Dashputre, Kayleen McCready, Asha
Pinto, the ‘K-2’ helpers & lolly ladies for helping out on the day. Thank
you also to Mr James and Mrs Kemp for setting up the carnival and
congratulations to Mrs Lloyd Jones for the overall organization of this very
successful event. The school will be
painted this term so there will be some disruptions to classes in A and F
blocks. This is part of the Commonwealth Government’s Economic Stimulus
Package ‘Schools for the 21st Century’ program. The fence survey
indicated a strong support for putting a security fence around the school.
(No-25 Yes- 90) Dear Parents, 1. There will
be a barbeque and crazy hair day This Friday 7th August. 2. The next
P&C meeting will be held on Wednesday 19th August at 7:00pm in

be a working bee on Saturday, 12th September. 4. If you
would like to know more about the NSW education system please read the details
attached about a 6 week parent course to be held at school on Fridays later
this term. This course was very successful last year. |
