Principal’s News:

Congratulations to the School debating team of Anushka Dasputre, Daniel Oh, Kavisha Shah, Rahul Mittal and Vivian Lin who came second in the district competitive debating competition. Also well done to the Senior Netball team who will be contesting the district semi finals this Friday. Thank you to Mrs Lloyd Jones who coached the debating team and to Mrs Kellerman who coaches the netball team.

Painting for the school will begin from September 7 and continue for about 8 weeks. We are currently choosing colours for the classrooms to give the school a much needed uplift. The outside of Block A, Block F and the Hall will also be painted. This will mean some temporary re-location of classes during this time.

The opening of the Good Beginnings Ryde Community Hub was held at our school on Monday. This was attended by a number of VIPS including Linda Burney the State Minister for Community Services who addressed our students. Our school choir sang ‘Colour My World, beautifully.The Hub provides support for children aged 0-8 and their families. They are located in our old After School Care room in the Craft Room building.

Dear Parents,

1. P&C will be holding their first meeting on Wednesday night at 7pm in the library. All welcome.

2. The Information Seminars about the Education System will start this Friday August 21 9:30-12:30 for 6 weeks. There will be a Korean and Mandarin/Cantonese interpreter at these seminars. Please return the form if you wish to attend or contact the school/

3. There will be a parent working bee on Saturday September 9 from 10am-4pm. If you can give some time on this day to help the school it would be very much appreciated.
