Principal’s News:

The Working Bee on Saturday was very well attended by an enthusiastic and energetic group of parents (and children). The team managed to complete most of the work of weeding and mulching the garden beds, fertilizing the grass area, cleaning up our storage area and putting new soft fall under the play equipment by lunchtime. We then had an enjoyable lunch of barbeque sausages and sushi (thank you Mary Lee). A smaller group helped in the afternoon by cleaning the silver seats and hanging the backdrop for the performance. There was also the opportunity to view the classroom painting which is looking great. Thank you to all the parents who worked on the day. Also thank you to parents who contributed towards the costs of the materials (mulch, soft fall, skip bin, supervisor’s wages, lunch). A special thank you to Nikki Lawson for proposing the working bee and to Ian Gilkes, our General Assistant, who organized the work to be done.

Blue Ribbon Belle makes its West Ryde Premiere performance tomorrow. All the students (and staff) have been working hard to put together a fantastic production. Whilst this has been a team effort the production would not have been possible without the leadership and hard work of our director/producer extraordinaire Mrs Kendal Thompson.

Years 5 and 6 will be going on camp to Myuna Bay next week. They will be accompanied by Ms Blake, Mrs Thompson, Mr Logan and Mrs Lesic.
