Easter Parade:

Each year the Infants children make their Easter Hats in class, and parade them for the parents at an Easter Hat Parade.

The P & C traditionally have a raffle with Easter baskets packed full of yummy Easter eggs being the prizes. And this year was no different! There were lots of very excited children as prize winners names were called out at morning assembly!

OPEN DAY:

Sculpture Exhibition:

This year for OPEN DAY in Education Week, the classes all made 3D sculptures for the parents to view. The sculptures were weeks in development, and the results were excellent! The children were very proud of their achievements, and also enjoyed looking at exhibitions by other classes. The children were able to vote for their favourite exhibition.

Classroom visits:

The parents also had a chance to visit their children's classes and see some of their work, and in some cases to watch a lesson in progress. Some classes had children give their parents a spelling test!

Multi-Cultural Luncheon:

This very popular activity has become a tradition at West Ryde Public School, and one of which we are very proud. Parents are requested to bring in a dish of their favourite national food to share, and the children are encouraged to dress in their national costumes for the day.

The food is always absolutely delicious, and staff, children and parents all  enjoy this traditional luncheon very much. It is always a wonderful community atmosphere, and the whole day is always a great success.
